Safe Rides Home

Is Farah & Farah really buying my cab?
Yes. We believe you can’t put a price on keeping people safe—so buying safe rides home is what we’re doing. (During the week of Veteran’s Day, we offer this service to all active-duty and retired military personnel.)

How does this all work?
To receive your free cab ride home during advertised Keep Jax Safe events or holidays, you must complete the form on this page to recieve a confirmation email with a unique code. Once you’re ready for a safe ride home, call Checker Cab (904-345-3333) and when they arrive provide them your unique code from your email. During Veteran’s Day week, military will need to provide unique code and a military ID or VA card.

Am I guaranteed a taxi when I reserve online?
Remember: Some holidays, such as New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day are very busy nights for everyone—please allow time for cabs to pick you up after you’ve called. Since we don’t operate the taxis, we cannot guarantee that a cab will be available when you call (which is normal on big holidays). We still promise that your ride will be free and paid for by Farah & Farah.

What’s the hook? How much will this cost?
No hook. No questions asked. We’re paying for cabs for anyone that signs up to keep you, and everyone else, safe this holiday. We only ask that you respect the cab drivers and dispatchers. It’s that simple.

What areas are you servicing?
We’re paying for you to get safely home from your party or event anywhere in Northeast Florida or Southeast Georgia. Ultimately, it will be up to the cab company.

Are you going to spam my email or phone?
Not a chance! We hate annoying spam as much as you do. We will keep your information safe and not sell it to any 3rd-parties. You may be included on future Keep Our City Safe efforts—if you don’t wish to receive these messages, just opt out at any time.

Do I have to tip the driver?
No, unless their exceptional service calls for it. We’re paying for your whole cab ride home—tip included—so all you have to worry about is having a great and safe time.

Does this include Uber rides?
No. We’re only partnering with local cab companies to get you home safe.

Free Bike Helmets

How does all this work?
The team at Farah & Farah wants to help keep your children safe by offering free helmets to anyone up to the age of 16. If you received a voucher at an event, or from a police officer, just follow the instructions on how to submit. You can also visit us at any of the event listed on the helmet page.

If I have more than one kid can I get multiple helmets?
Yes.

Do I get to choose the brand and color of the helmet?
We use Bell brand helmets. The helmets we purchase are according to size and color is random, however, we do have some purple/pink helmets if requested.

What if the helmet doesn’t fit?
You can exchange the helmet at the Farah & Farah Downtown Jacksonville location or contact us at keepjaxsafe@farahandfarah.com.

I know that my child’s head is larger than most children their age/or they have a lot of hair. Can I ask for a bigger size than what’s recommended?
We do encourage you go to a local sporting goods store and try on helmet sizes. You can ask for whatever size is necessary to properly fit the head. Certified helmet fitters can also do fittings at Farah & Farah’s Downtown Jacksonville office.

What areas are you servicing?
North Florida/South Georgia areas.

I’m an adult. Can I receive a helmet or is it only for children?
We only carry youth sizes. There is a 14+ helmet size, but it is meant for teens.

Are you going to spam my email or phone?
Not a chance! We hate annoying spam as much as you do. We will keep your information safe and not sell it to any 3rd-parties. You may be included on future newsletter efforts—if you don’t wish to receive these messages, just opt out at any time.
